Personal Metabolic Measurement

 Based on a novel metabolic fuel model and low-cost breath sensor for measuring, tracking, and enhancing metabolism. The model can predict key metabolic state parameters, including blood glucose levels, available glycogen stores, nutrient substrate utilization, and fat accumulation or depletion, for a given diet and activity profile. It can also predict healthy metabolic responses to a variety of dietary interventions and the onset of medical conditions, such as type 2 diabetes and excessive fat accumulation. The model suggests that the measurement of key metabolic parameters, such as respiratory quotient and energy expenditure, can provide insight into metabolic health and improvements in athletic performance and endurance.
